Muggles and Mundanes and Norms, OH MY!
By steve | March 30th, 2009 | Category: Articles, FrontPageOther, News | No Comments »Why do we call the people who allow us to live our dreams, these names? Each one is derogatory and sets us apart from those we are supposed to be serving.
Like the terms used during wars to make the enemy less than human, with the repeated use of our terms we have desensitized ourselves as to the importance of our audience, our Patrons.
Listen to the voice and watch the mannerisms of someone when they use these terms. You could almost replace, ʼMundaneʼ with ʼFilthy Peasant.ʼ There is no respect, in fact many times it seem as if some might consider them a nuisance that just gets in the way of their fun.
Leonardo, Michelangelo, all the great artists of the Renaissance era had Patrons. The person or persons, without whom they would not have been able to follow their dreams, pursue their passions and live the life they wanted to live.
Patrons
were respected and diligently sought after.
- Without the Patron. We are nothing.
- Without the Patron. Guilds would just be a group of geeks dressing up in someoneʼs back yard.
- Without the Patron. Vendors would be would be working different jobs, at even stranger hours, in the same place, minute after minute, day after day, year after year.
- Without the Patron. Performers are a bunch of losers with useless skills, doing magic, juggling and singing songs to the other patience in the psych ward.
- Without the Patron. We are nothing, so we should show them more respect.
For those who think itʼs just a word. Well the pimp thinks ʽBitches and Hoʼsʼ are just words too, and we know what pimps thinks of ʽBitches and Hoʼs.ʼ
Patrons are Period.
